Will we get a winter general election?

Since Boris’s Withdrawal Agreement Bill went through the first reading stage with 30 votes but was lost with 14 votes to get the bill through in 3 days, there is now a chance that the Prime Minister will try for a general election soon.

Of course that would probably get rid of the former Conservative MPs who lost the whip and sit now as independents. But it may also lead to new government.

The threat of getting Jeremy Corbin can’t control a whole nation. After all Labour always copy-cats what the Conservatives do. Labour only stick to their leader because the Conservatives stick to their tactics.

Considering that Boris constantly says people will lose faith in parliament if Brexit doesn’t go through, I think they merely loose faith in the Conservative government if Brexit doesn’t go through and not of parliament.

It is more than trying to expect a nation to go through a general election because Boris can’t get his bill through.

It’s very disappointing that the pro-Brexit people think that a vote stands for eternity  – like the Brexit vote – when elections go on and on, that’s because we have a democracy.

The Conservative Party should have negotiated Brexit conditions prior to putting it to a referendum.

Boris has now paused the Brexit Bill but can’t hope that the EU will offer a no-deal Brexit because EU leaders have already confirmed that they won’t push us into a no deal Brexit as long as we ask for an extension and that is what we did.
