No working scenario

Just read this interesting article that the working youth population has halved, according to the Resolution Foundation.

So is all this palaver, to getting better grades just a smokescreen to avoid a job?

Interestingly, Christine McInnes, Service head for children and families at Tower Hamlets Council and a member of the Partnership, had said, during one of the school governor meetings that pupils, who work besides doing exams generally get a grade lower.

That is an important and statistic based observation, knowing Christine, she wouldn’t just grab such a statement out of thin air.

But Ms Gardiner, from the Resolution Foundation added: “More and more of us are now working, with employment hitting record highs and worklessness hitting record lows, but despite this, around one in 12 working-age adults have never worked a day in their lives – a 50% increase since the late 1990s.”

Seems a stark contrast to those articles putting employment at a record high. So how well does this Conservative government help the work-life balance in Britain, is it all just a big con?
