closing schools?

Why close schools wand blame educational processes for Covid-19? Doesn’t that just show somebody who wants to stop youth from mixing in educational establishments?

A lot of our young people’s learning and personal development is aimed at taking place in the school environment.

Whilst Greenwich follows the Major’s advice and closes all schools tonight, Hackney follows government advice and allows Covid-19 testing for all pupils and families if wished. That also fits in with the request of the Oxford Covid-19 vaccine developers to obtain more test results from carriers who may not have symptoms to enable a more effective development of the vaccine, they are working on.

Our whole family development is more around getting children away from their natural famlies and into the educational institutions for prolonged hours. I doubt that parents – under normal circumstances – even get to see their own children much when they are working.Fair enough, there is the ability to learn through Teams or Zoom but then, there are also a lot of families who don’t have sufficient Internet access yet.

Here in Tower Hamlets around 50% of people do not use the Internet regularly.

I am just perplexed why the media only pushes Sadiq Khan’s request to close schools and doesn’t equally publish about the other education strategies equally strong.
