starts bad, gets worst, ends well – hopefully

2021 was the worst start to any year I can remember. And, I am not even suffering from Covid-19. Though my blood oxygen level wasn’t at its best today, I am not suffering from Covid.

Can’t understand why hospital A&E departments do not take Covid tests as a matter of routine. Because once the patients are there, they might as well take one.

After total Waste-pipe blockages, rendering my kitchen and bath useless, I now also suffered a fall, which resulted in me getting myself to A&E on advice of my GP. I was glad to find out that I still can at least walk.

I can well imagine that almost anybody who saw my black eye, thought that I am a victim of domestic violence. I am not. I took Christmas decorations down and excitedly ran to the door for a delivery, when I fell over a floor cushion, and landed face first in the bathoom door frame.

My eye looked at first like I had a baloon over it. It’s now become the shape of a fancy eye shadow, the discolouration. Just as I do not use make-up.

I won’t post a picture of this because I don’t want to look worst for wear on a blog.

Whilst I was at the hospital, they took my blood oxygen levels twice. The first time. the best it got was 92. A brilliant result should show 95 – 100. Well, I could not breathe freely because I fell onto my body and my ribs hurt me when I breathe in deeply. I also think that wearing the face mask may reduce the quality of the air we breathe in.

Still, they could have taken a Covid test.

All I am hoping for, is that things can only get better and that the year 2021 ends as good as it started bad.
