When I was a swimming official

Adam Peaty has a good point about the VAR. It can be hard to see when swimmers sneak in a second butterfly leg kick after a start or turn. Water waves, light and position can prevent it being seen.

I remember having reported quite a few swimmers for contravening the rules on breaststroke leg movements after a start or turn to the referees.

Quite a few swimmers seem to want to get away with it.

I really support it that Adam Peaty asks for more under-water camera surveillance in swimming competitions. It probably needs extra officials to monitor this but it does need them urgently.
