Not much progress – dealing with stereo types

Just wondering how little progress actually gets made because those making decisions are not qualified to make them. The new CIO constitutional frame work allows for great strides for charitable organisations, the way they can be set up and governed. But, as it is. charities often rely on volunteers, the volunteers are not qualified and set in their ways and so nothing can happen because decisions need to be made by those volunteers and can only be made on the basis of the knowledge that each person has.
Charities can actually charge for membership and they should use that to make companies pay towards regular running costs as to achieve more.

The same with crime reporting. If there were more anonymous crime reporting local facilities all over Britain, we could crack the hold that criminals have on whole swathes of our society.
Yet, nothing of the sort happens very fast.

What I also realised that its often always the same people.
We often remarked it on the local voluntary sector level, that it’s always the same people who show up to meetings and engage with organisations. Now it seems it’s also always the same actors, we see in films. I have no qualm with the ones we do see, they are all brilliant actors and seem jolly nice people but for a whole country, to always only show the same actors over and over, seems strange as if there are not enough people to go round to give more than a few people a job.
Human progress is not as flexible as I thought. Many people are set in their ways and not able to adjust to new situations quickly. Yet they hold all the strings.
Was just thinking that Thüring only got accepted because his skills were badly needed during war times. His personal choices were not appreciated widely it at the time.
Don’t we just love to create heroes and condemn them whilst they are alive and then praise them once they are dead.

I just hope that people don’t’ think that all those who strive to achieve change today but run against a wall don’t take it personal. We can only achieve what we are allowed to achieve and otherwise just have to go along with what is there and available.
Just when I had this court case. It went on over three years and now we see small amounts of progress being made in controlling hate speech at least on the Internet, whilst before this wasn’t even possible.

On the opposite site of the spectrum, we see those former heroes, who were embellished with statues, now being villains. Those former heroes achieved their fame by repressing others, mostly slaves.

What we all really need is a little respect, to say it in the words of that famous Aretha Franklyn song.
