Sheer insanity

There is absolutely no rational explanation why HM Government should send me letters threatening me with my immigration status when I reside at my current address since over 30 years and had at least 3 British passports since I live in the United Kingdom, London to be exact.

It occurred to me that the letters could be scamming but ActionFraud says they are genuine.

So why would the government threaten British Citizens?

There could be a few explnations.

  • Checking whether people live where they say they live to make savings
  • Cruelty
  • Stupidity
  • Sexism (I am an independent woman not married to a British man nor in any relationship). Though I have a lot of grandchildren.
  • Racism (my name sounds foreign, to British aristocrats. Perhaps they set their criteria to create mailshots to European sounding names).

The problem with government mailshots is that they reach millions of people literally and cost a lot of money to run. I did receive the same letter not once but twice.

Yet when I contacted Citizens Advice about this, they say they have not heard of such a case before.

Perhaps there is a slight chance that I am the victim of some individual research without my knowledge of being selected.

Both letters posted on 9. August 2021. The first one reached me on 18. August, the second one reached me on 21. August.

That just shows that the mail delivery companies take quite a lot of time to deliver letters and not all at the same speed.

But what is apparent, is that governments always love to create underdogs and not so perfect people who need either be punished or be locked up.

I have a completely unblemished record (in criminal terms) and there is nothing that could be held against me, yet, the government is creating a situation where they can investigate, question and accuse, potentially.

If I think I passed very stringent advanced disclosure checks for my previous post as passenger service agent at London City Airport, now the government denies knowledge that I am even British.

No wonder we have a Monster Raving Loony party. That’s all you can vote for, is insanity.

Wonder what rational explanation the Home Office will come up with when they reply to my complaint sent to them via their communications system. Not long ago, I sat in a conference with Kit Malthouse.

An hour’s wait for home

Today I spent more than an hour waiting to be connected to the Home Office helpline, specially for those who have received EU settlement scheme letters in error.

Finally, after being patient for over an hour, the agent from HO came on the line.

Had to answer questions about NIS number, when entered Britain, old passport number, receipt of benefits, new passport number, email address, phone. Whether I changed my name recently.

I once was a Taylor when I was married but changed my name back to my European sounding maiden name after my divorce.

Quite amazing that someone can have a British passport for decades and the Home Office still have not got that on record or question the validity of the ID with such queries.

Just because of the sound of a name? Did someone clone my ID?

Well I sorted this today. Will get an up-dated letter soon. The letter asked me to ring within 28 days of receipt. What if I had not waited for over an hour to speak to an agent? What would have happened after 28 days?

It’s an utter disgrace that the Home Office pretends not to know who has a British passport. The letter seems to be genuine and only gives people the option to ring a number if they already hold a British passport, so they can up-date their records.

That seems really cynical to threaten immigrants from Europe that all their benefits will get cut off unless they ring this number within 28 days and then let you wait for over an hour to answer your call.

I think this is more racist than anything else. The Home Office can’t possible make us belief that they do not know whose been issued with British passports?

Total mayhem

The EU settlement scheme seems to be too much for the government to handle.

Today received not only one but two letters telling me that I am on their records as of EEA nationality.

Why comes that I also hold a British passport? I am on my third British passport by now because I am British since decades.

Whoever is writing those letters for HM Government doesn’t have a clue about anything. They set their computers to set aside anybody with a foreign sounding name and they send them threatening letters that they are not British enough and must be from the EU or Switzerland because their name doesn’t sound British.

It’s unbelievable discriminating and a total waste of British tax payers money.

Sending those letters costs the tax payer a lot of money.
