Booster

Got my NHS invite for the Covid Booster on the dot, six months after my second dose. I booked straightaway and went to my local vaccination centre.

Despite having had an early Flu jab and the two Covid vaccines, I picked up a cold. Runny nose, a shiver and a slight, chesty couch. The runny nose was enough for the Covid centre to turn me away and demand a PCR test.

Unfortunately I wasn’t told how to book that and how to behave until I’ve had the test and so I went shopping, before coming home and booking that PCR locally. I gotten straight into a walk-in centre, which I could only approach on foot and not public transport. Though I had taken the bus home between the rejected booster and after shopping.

I went to the PCR lunch-time Friday and gotten the result when I woke up on Saturday. It was negative, as all my lateral flow tests and the previous two PCR tests.

Now I have to wait two weeks for the next available, local booster appointment.

But, I am very happy to say that I did more than 10.000 steps on the day and walked 6.5km
